On the extent of Fossil Fuel Industry & Investor-Owned Utility Sponsored Research & Donations at UC San Diego
After reviewing 50 grants and 400 donations from the fossil fuel industry to UC San Diego our team has arrived a conclusion – their plan is clear: buy the goodwill of climate researchers at SIO, policy scholars at GPS and engineers at Jacobs school to extend the lifetime of their planet-killing practices.
They’ve also made donations, which are wildly cheap for such a profitable industry. If our institution wants to be a global leader in climate justice we need to rethink the dirty money we accept
