The committee will now get down to trying to implement the other 33 concrete recommendations on emissions reduction in the Task Force Report on the Climate Crisis.

Petition to demand the UC develops a detailed energy plan to get off fossil fuels

California’s recent extreme weather events, and the massive recent fires remind us the climate emergency is upon us.

Yet the 10 campus University of California continues to burn huge amounts of natural gas, emitting ~1 million tonnes yr of CO2; equivalent to 112 million gallons of gasoline consumed.
